PARK RANGER INTERPRETATION
In order to be rated as qualified for this position, we must be able to determine that you meet the qualification requirement - please be sure to include this information in your resume. One year specialized experience equivalent to at least GS-5 level. Examples of specialized experience include experience as a park guide or tour leader; archaeological or historical preservation research work; forestry and/or fire management work in a park, recreation or conservation area; management, assistant, or program specialist work involving the development and implementation of policy related to protection, conservation, or management of park areas or similar operations; planning day to day operation of a recreation area providing such facilities as camping, water sports, picnic areas, or coordinating routine activities with maintenance personnel; advising visitors concerning safety, fire prevention, and proper and authorized uses of recreational facilities; and collecting fees. -OR- Successful completion of one full academic year of graduate education related to the occupation (i.e. related course work). -OR- A combination of experience and education to meet total experience.
